Becoming certified in Medical Billing and Coding through courses at High Desert Medical College will prepare you to enter one of the fastest-growing professions in the health care industry. HDMC ensures our students are ready to enter the job market with a program involving classroom theory lab procedures and externship. Our Medical Billing and Coding students are prepared to enter the workforce as entry level medical billers and coders with the knowledge and skills competencies for the organization and accurate maintenance of patient medical records. Graduates receive CPR and First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross and a Diploma in Medical Billing and Coding

As Medical and Billing Coders, you will prepare various health claim forms using medical billing software. Your daily tasks might include accurately interpreting medical records, including diagnoses and procedures of health care providers, as well as documenting and coding the information for submission to insurance companies.
