DENTAL ASSISTING DIPLOMA PROGRAM

Becoming a Dental Assistant through courses at High Desert Medical College will prepare you to enter one of the fastest-growing professions in the health care industry. HDMC helps ensure our students can enter the job market successfully with a program involving classroom theory lab procedures and externship.Our Dental Assistant students are the prepped for industry certifications through organizations such as the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). We also provide our students with their X-ray Certification upon completion of the program.

As a Dental Assistant, you will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support dental offices. Tasks include interacting with patients, assisting the dentist or hygienist during exams and treatments, delivering X-rays and taking dental impressions and fabricating molds or crowns.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ranks Dental Assistants among the fastest growing occupations over the 2012-2022 decade. Employment is projected to grow 25% – much faster than the average job ranking.
